Venturing out on P2000s HMS Archer and HMS Example was a shore thing for an unforgettable day! Thanks to COs Lt. Jack Patterson, Lt. Ollie Thomas and crew for the insightful glimpse into sailing logistics of a P2000 on deployment along the North-Western coast of 🇨🇵. ⚓️🌊
Today we disembarked our Officer Cadets from URNU East Scotland & Oxford URNU who have spent the last 3 weeks onboard integrating with the Crew and learning about life in the Royal Navy. BZ and Fair Winds!

We have been thoroughly welcomed by the town of Saint-Nazaire, St Nazaire society and Musée Le Grand Blockhaus. It is an honour and a privilege for us to represent Royal Navy commemorating OP CHARIOT, remembering those who achieved the impossible.

HMS Example in company with HMS Archer have been in Saint-Nazaire to commemorate 82 years since OPERATION CHARIOT. A joint operation during WWII which has been called “the greatest raid of all”. Saint-Nazaire also marks the most southerly port visit for HMS Example #ductusexemplo
Safely in St Nazaire and only a few hundred yards away from where ‘The Greatest Raid of All’ took place. Both us and HMS Example are honoured to be here to commemorate the bravery and sacrifices of those who came before us
