Empathy allows people to actively & intentionally listened to the other person and them feeling heard and validated. Emotional support goes a long way when it comes to #mentalhealth support.
Day 2 Cohort 2 of AGECS #mentalhealth Literacy Training by AKU Institute for Human Development and we're recapping on yesterday's modules on stigma of mental illness, the brain and it's functions and what happens when the brain gets sick. What better way to do this but, through a lively session.

The final Day of our AKU Institute for Human Development AGECS #mentalhealth Literacy training. Today we delve into drug misue and effects on mental health, psychosocial interventions, prevention & treatment. Despite the heavy rainfall this morning, our participants & team showed up to learn more about MH.
Day 1 of our AKU Institute for Human Development AGECS Mental Health Literacy Training. Thirty participants are present for today's session on Understanding Stigma & Discrimination of Mental Health. Destigmatizion of mental health is paramount and should be prioritized.
