I had my last meeting as “temporary” convener of South Nottinghamshire Place-Based Partnership today - after 15 months, I’m delighted Nottinghamshire Healthcare Non-Exec Director, Paddy Tipping, is taking on the role. Today I received a letter following a hospital appointment on 21st August. the appointment was very comprehensive and helpful. My care team received it ‘epostable’ on 22nd! Not sure how many times I need to say ‘I use the app’ please post there! I’ve opted out of paper!

1 year on from being first admitted to hospital I get to wake up to this view! After treatment for a pulmonary embolism, iron infusions, surgery for bowel cancer and adjuvant chemotherapy, I’ve finally been discharged from oncology. Time to get my life back! Thank you everyone!

Yesterday I had my final surgery following a year of investigations and treatments. thank you the amazing staff Nottingham University Hospitals from the admissions unit to the breast surgery team and all the staff on Harvey 2. Loved my recovery chat with nurse Megan! Here’s to a healthy summer!
