This is the kind of experience we need to make the norm. Authentic learning that engages kids. You eliminate behaviors and you often eliminate attendance issues. Give them a purpose for school.

Leaders…just because you have a position with a title, doesn’t make you a leader. 5 Levels of Leadership. Level 1 gives you the position but few will truly follow you if you do not advance and build relationships. You might think people are but they are out of compliance only.

One of my greatest influencers was Sgt Major Russell. He led us thru tough tasks/assignments and he gave us all the credit but took the blame when things didn’t go well. He had our back all the time. He would support us in public and coach us in private to do better.
