I was able to see this first-hand when touring a shelter for survivors of human trafficking last week. Run by the Coalition to Abolish Slavery and Trafficking Coalition to Abolish Slavery and Trafficking.

Coalition to Abolish Slavery and Trafficking is a Los Angeles-based nonprofit that is working to put an end to modern slavery and human trafficking, and this shelter provides physically and psychologically safe housing for survivors of labor and sex trafficking.

Through a host of supportive programs and services, Coalition to Abolish Slavery and Trafficking has supported thousands of survivors over its 20 years, offering a vast array of resources including counseling, legal help, housing, educational and leadership training, and mentorship.
