Three oil beetles seen over three days. Two Black Oil Beetles (m&f) and today a Violet Oil Beetle (m). Nice to have both species so close to home #OilBeetleHunt OilBeetlesUK
Bumblebee queens are emerging. I keep finding them resting on the ground. Several Early Bumblebees today and yesterday this Heath Bumblebee - Bombus jonellus. Check out the pale hairs on the hind leg. Bumblebee Conservation Trust
