It was our pleasure to welcome WM Mayor, Richard Parker (West Midlands Combined Authority), last week. Richard experienced our multi-period storytelling, exploring buildings and meeting historic characters representing various eras within the Black Country's history.
Our researcher Simon Briercliffe helped Rose Ayling-Ellis find out more about her family history on last night's episode of WDYTYA? UK on BBC One. Simon revealed the name of Rose's three-time great-grandmother and may have uncovered why the family supports Aston Villa FC!
This week we're marking two years since opening our dedicated Visitor Centre, designed by Napier Clarke Architects. So far it has welcomed Museum visitors, hosted black-tie dinners, held networking events and more. Find out more in the Royal Institute of British Architects case study: ribaj.com/buildings/blac…
Join Black Country Society here at the Museum for the Black Country History Conference on Sat 9 Nov. This year's conference explores buildings, heritage and the built environment in the Black Country. To find out more, visit our website tickets.bclm.com/103715
