I’m taking strike action for the first time in 17 years at EA. I love the job but my real-term pay has fallen by well over 25% since 2010. Our own Chief Executive described the pay deal as “unjust, unwise, and unfair”. I hope people understand & support us. ✊🏻

Environment Agency staff on strike held a rally at the flood barriers at Frankwell in Shrewsbury today. They’re on strike over pay.

That's a wrap! All our temporary #flood barriers have now been removed, flood gates opened & pumping ceased. But we don't stop there, we are now inspecting our defences to check they're ready for further #flooding and clearing debris & blockages on high flood risk watercourses.
