The Battalion has just taken part in Ex URBAN DRAGON delivered by British Army Urban Centre. This was a tabletop wargaming exercise focused on defending in the urban in the Baltics. It was an excellent opportunity to further our understanding of enemy capabilities and how we would fight.

Over half the Battalion is currently deployed in Kenya on Ex BULL STORM, operating as the enemy against 11 Brigade. Alongside high quality training, troops see amazing wildlife BATUK

3 RIFLES teamed up with EdinburghDroneCompany and utilised The Field Army funding to bring a 3D printer to Kenya on Ex BULL STORM to 3D print FPV drones for use in the field. Learning from lessons in Ukraine, this was a valuable proof of concept and at the forefront of Army innovation.

Deploying on exercise does not just mean hard graft in the field. After Ex BULL STORM, many soldiers had the opportunity to conduct AT in Kenya including white water rafting, kayaking, rock climbing, and hiking Mt Kenya.

3 RIFLES recently deployed to Kenya on Exercise BULL STORM as Task Force Hannibal playing enemy forces against 3 SCOTS and 1 R ANGLIAN Battlegroups. Getting comfortable with the scorching Kenyan temperatures alongside the challenging terrain is a firm test of any Rifleman.
