Not often you get to meet the guest speakers from past episodes of the Azure Podcast in-person. Heyko and Rathish from Episode 271 gave a fantastic lab on Azure Pipelines at Microsoft Ready.

If you hang out at the command-prompt as much as I do, you may appreciate this command to keep an eye on the weather. curl attr.in provides a neatly formatted weather report in ASCII. Kudos to Igor Chubin

Just wrapped up 16 years at Microsoft and I look forward to continue the journey for as many years as possible. The shift from on-prem + Windows + .Net to Azure + Any OS + Any Platform has been exhilarating.

Okay, this was fun - talked with the Azure Podcast gang about everything from fixing bugs in Windows, to the Red Dog days of Azure, my latest coding project (true!), to how tech is helping companies weather the pandemic. Oh, and cats. Good times! ⏯️ msft.it/6017pomPl

As a back-end / API developer forever, I always felt uncomfortable doing any sort of mobile app development. Finally decided to take that plunge with #Xamarin and finding it's not so bad after all. I suck at UI design though. That is an art.

Not sure if this has been brought up before, but if we introduce a small rule change wherein a 0:0 score means both teams get 0 points, it may help create more exciting games in Premier League

Word of the day - Atrophy - Had to look it up when I saw this in a news article related to what's happened to us during COVID. "gradually decline in effectiveness or vigor due to underuse or neglect." ☹️

Is this a new bug in Spotify for Windows where it displays 'NaN', which is programmer speak for 'Not a Number', when not playing any song in particular?

My daughter is doing a bio engineering undergrad degree at Northeastern and her very first programming class as a freshman was C++. Agreed it was embedded (Arduino) programming but I thought C++ for a newbie was a bit harsh. Python may have been a better introduction IMHO.
