All 20 sick dogs need walked. I do 18,000 steps on a Sunday but I love every second as it’s time spent with dogs. Seeing them all in their little recoveries is good for the soul (5/6)

Probably the most scared street dog we’ve ever had. Jada hides in the corners looking at walls and trying to be invisible. Her recovery has been incredible… (1/8) 🧵

It took us 2 weeks to catch her alone. Humans terrified her and she was living in agony under buildings. Locals report her back swelling more by the day. (2/8)

Jada completely shut down for 3 weeks while she waited for her operation with us. She was too weak to attempt it. For those weeks she hid in her box. She had given up on life. We have her space (3/8)

We were finally able to attempt the operation last week. The vets warned us it would be 50/50. Once asleep they actually found 2 other similar growths. Luckily none were cancer. (4/8)

The operation was a success. Jada had lost enough weight and her blood strong enough that she made it through. She stayed in special care for 4 days (6/8)

I’ve set myself with a little office beside Jada so I can make her feel comfortable. We don’t want to rush it too much but trying to get her used to human touch. She is responding well to it. All at her own pace (7/8)

It’s been a very tough month for Jada both physically and mentally. To see her today walking freely is a thing of beauty. The next part of the journey will just take time. A very good and brave girl 🙏🥰 (8/8)
