We had a very successful awards night last night, where we welcome 3 new corporals, a new sergeant and a flight sergeant! Congratulations to everyone who won awards, you are each a credit to yourself and our squadron, keep up the good work!

We’ve had a very busy weekend here at 158! We hosted a YFA course so our cadets could gain their First Aid qualification and badges🏅 We also went to Wing Band yesterday where we saw cadets from across the wing performing - it was great to see all the instruments come together!

Congratulations to FS Hales who has been selected to go through to the next round of the prestigious CVQO Westminster awards. Good luck to FS Hales in the next round where upon winning a selection process will be held in Somerset in April.

Last night we had a leadership exercise where the cadets had to made pancakes, they learnt how to safely operate a Trangia and how to deliver a SMEAC brief. Here are some of the creations they made🤪

Tonight we were delighted to award some of our cadets with their YFA badges, after a weekend of training and assessments they all passed and was awarded with their bronze badges! We also awarded a bronze and blue musical award to Cpl Crouchman and Cdt Moraru! Well deserved to all

We had an evening of Climatic Injuries. This gives cadets an idea on how to take care of themselves and their team on field exercises and DofE - seems like they enjoyed themselves

We would normally be out on Saturday showing our support for Armed Forces Day but that doesn't mean we are not still supporting Armed Forces Day at home. We are grateful for those who served - we are thinking of those currently serving. We will see you next year!

Today we had the honour and privilege of attending the memorial service of Dennis Widdick (MBE). Dennis’s involvement with 158 (Braintree) RAFAC Sqn spans 30 years where he led the Sqn to many achievements. Thank you to the cadets who attended today you are a credit to the Sqn
