1/ If a blockchain can’t capture trading volume, it can’t capture value. Today, DEX activity is the engine of REV across chains.

Just a heads up: there is a fake account impersonating (and he managed to get more followers than me :sob:) This is my only account. Please ignore/report the imposter if he DMs you.

my mom read aloud the “stop trading believe in something, spx9000” sticker on my laptop and I threw up in my mouth

this dude has pumped out like 3 movies (poor things, kinds of kindness, and now this) in 3-4 years that’s like insane speed

I would really want to see approval ratings on prediction markets. Something like "will (X figure) approval rating go below/abovee X percent by X date?" would be great to use.

Honestly, Ethereum needs to be thinking of counter attack strategies here. People will just build centralised proof of authority chains using the EVM, steal a decades worth of R&D. And then poach all the devs. They are not your friends.

A lot of these dunks are skirting around the overall point. Weird “my tribe” nitpicking that makes no sense. The fact is, Ethereum has a new large player that will impact network dynamics in some way. Simple as. Not being able to have exact recall is dumb nitpick nonsense.

There’s nothing stopping a well funded DAT from acting as a second foundation or another set of core developers akin to the client teams now. We know that Ethereum core developers are under-compensated, by over 50% of the market rate. We know that these DATs are well-funded.

1/3rd of Ethereum core developers explored job offers elsewhere. These people receive no equity for the labor they provide. There is already precedence in receiving contributions from Protocol Guild, why wouldn’t a DAT lobby, or even just poach and create their own team?

“ETH core developers love working on Ethereum which is why they are fine with the pay” Then it’s even more likely for a DATco to poach them. Higher incentivization and they can continue working on what they like.

prestonvanloon.eth This is a very incorrect framing of my prior tweets. Though I'm sure it was just an honest mistake. My point is about *conflicting interests* of large ETH holders & other influential groups, not that large holders exist. I see the *potential* for conflict to arise given Lee's
