I used to think how 500k+ Ethereum validators verify each transaction. But it’s not feasible in 12s. Instead, validators are grouped in 32 slots and attest to blocks during their assigned slots, not every block. So a txn or block is verified by 12-14k validator.

Why don't Ethereum light clients need full-node data to verify blocks? ------------------------- Because they use block-headers to verify block authenticity and these block-headers are already signed by sync committee(512 random validators choosen after every 256 epochs)
