How many single wavelengths do you need to simulate white color? More precisely: Light from how many monochromatic light sources needs to reach a standard human observer's eyes to give them the sensation of seeing white color?

I think the association is along the lines of RGB, but that should be "less than 3" - two are enough. A color and its complementary color. For instance blue and yellow.
