Today remembering my Great Uncle Captain William Green, who commanded C Company 1st Btn Dorset Regiment on this morning of 1st July 1916, he was wounded in the leg, dragged into a shell hole, only to be wounded again in the head, he died of his wounds on the 6th July 1916.
