70% of UK land is farmed. If we want nature to recover, this is where it happens. Farmers like James Rebanks are already doing it – farming with wildlife, not against it. But without proper funding, we risk losing it all. Rachel Reeves: increase funding, grow our future.



For months, alongside farmers, supporters, and nature groups, we’ve made the case for protecting nature-friendly farming. Today, we’re pleased to see HM Treasury has listened: the nature-friendly farming budget has been maintained. This is a crucial step, but nature needs more.

We’re at #Groundswell2025, where Steve Reed MP has confirmed the capital grants offer will reopen from today: a welcome move to support farmers improving their land for nature. He said, “it is only by restoring nature that we can get food security”, and we agree!
