Physician assisted dying is an incredibly complex and emotive topic for all involved but I am very proud to be the patient representative on the BMA medical ethics committee where such nuanced and respectful discussions are had.

PIP shouldn’t even be in the same conversation as sickness and work. PIP is personal independence payment. It has nothing to do with whether you are working or not working, off sick or not. It has nothing to do with work. It is like Rishi Sunak doesn’t even know this.

I have been involved in the planning of this year’s symposium and I’m chairing a panel on the day about involving children and young people in policy formation.

I was already carer to my Disabled daughter when my wife fell from her bike & broke her leg.
