Today marks 30 years since the atrocities of the Srebrenica genocide. 8,000 Muslim men and boys slaughtered in less than a week. One group of people, racially and culturally the same, turned on purely because of their religion. It is a tragedy and should be a lesson to us all.

The placing of HMP Pentonville in special measures is very concerning, but its failings do not come as a surprise. I will be writing to the Lord Chancellor and Pentonville's governor to discuss these findings in more detail.
