When fascists gun people down, march in the streets, dismantle abortion rights, attack queer folks, and make students register their political views, and you decide to focus on trans people and pronouns you are helping the fascists. You are furnishing them with another scapegoat.

We are now entering week two of unfair labor practice strikes by UAW-represented academic workers at the University of California. Their talent is what enables UC’s world-class research. I’m leading colleagues to call on UC to reach a resolution and bargain in good faith.

Union leaders of this country need to stop playing the fence and take a stance stop letting politics take away the rank and file strength you either with them or NOT there’s no in between.

“If the rail workers strike, it would hurt the economy” “If nurses strike, it’ll hurt the patients” “If teachers strike, it’ll hurt the children” This is anti-labor, strike-busting language. Yes, workers are vital—meet their demands.
