Second #NoMowMay (and general infrequent mowing) since moving to Cambridgeshire and getting lots more exciting species in this year naturally, including germander and birds eye speedwell and lesser hop trefoil 🌸🌼🏵

Had a fantastic busy week with the ADAS Rosemaund field team getting lots of spraying and disease assessing done in the gorgeous Herefordshire weather 🌞

Day 2 of #ECPA2023 was all about crop sensing for me - yield monitoring and prediction for precision nutrient management was particularly interesting! Also had a demo on AgriSim used for education and testing of PA tech, GPS guidance steering definitely helped my tractor driving!

Day 3 of #ECPA2023 was about integrating approaches to PA, followed by a field trip to the local Agritech project, showcasing cooling of wine grapes with misting, weeding and tracking fruit number, size and temperature 🌡

Thank you to ADAS for a brilliant couple of years. I've really enjoyed every experience and the great people I've got to with. In the new year I'm moving to Cranfield University to work on the The NCS Project project with Jack Hannam. Excited to see where this next chapter takes me🌱

I highlighted our role in the NCS The NCS Project project which should be commencing in the glasshouse very soon! 😁

A delivery of 18 cubic meters worth of soil has made this soil scientist very happy today 😄 Can't wait to use it for the The NCS Project project, building lysimeters and getting plants growing soon! 🌱☀️ #Soilscience
