NEW YORK (AP) — Columbia University limits campus access to students and essential employees after anti-war protesters occupy building.

Hamilton Hall, the Columbia University building that protesters occupied early Tuesday, has been taken over several times by student activists over the past half-century.

New: 21 House Democrats led by Reps. Gottheimer and Goldman sent a letter to Columbia’s board of trustees telling them to “act decisively” to end the encampment or resign.

It’s a major escalation of Democrats’ rhetoric.
