I don't know whether to say yes or no

First time for everything. Child asked to sit on naughty step. Then even asked for me to put the timer on so they know how long to sit there for.

One of the most important lessons I wish I had had in school was ‘how to assert your legal rights’. I had one success this week but it took months of trying in an area my relative has experience in. As a younger adult I would not have known whether or how to proceed.

Casting doubt over LTNs is a problem not limited to Conservatives. I'm currently in a Labour / Lib Dem marginal and there was very little positive said by councillors in favour of LTNs & many filters were removed.

Had to get to a party starting at the uncharacteristic time of 9am on a Saturday. Cycled there.
Me: “It's nice and quiet this time in the morning”
Child: “Well the cars aren't quiet”

One bike, two shops, three trains, and three buses in total today!

Spent some time today in Milton Keynes. Quite concretey with many car parks. So many shops that I found it overwhelming. But buses in the city centre are free!

Thinking of doing an online course in horticulture (RHS level 2?) to give me a bit more knowledge for allotmenteering. Interested in hearing from anyone with advice on how to pick a suitable course/provider.

I think my first ever correspondence with a politician was a postcard to the Prime Minister from a notebook from there.

Gas plumber today did not understand why any household would want to disconnect from gas.
So different to the plumber in 2022 who was enthusiastic and informed about clean energy and decarbonisation.
Surely this trade should be among the most carbon literate?

Spent day at NHS leadership event with Mike Chitty (he/him) which kept getting better as the day went on. Final exercise involved 4 minutes of jotting down things to do and have come away with a rather long list. Inspired!

I encountered this driver by having to wait at the same traffic lights at a multi lane junction. Being prominent is, ironically, a defensive cycling strategy for safety.

If there had been safe space for cycling in the town centre the incident would not have happened.

Minded to ask anyone who comes canvassing at my door around the local or general elections if they take sexual harassment seriously.
I will then follow up by asking what their party would actually do to put in infrastructure to protect women cycling from abuse from drivers.
