More often than not, burnouts happen as a product of your own thoughts. 💭 Once you lower your expectations to something even mildly realistic, life gets better. 🌈 #burnouts

DO NOT rebase then force push on git. I repeat, do not EVER rebase then immediately force push. Create a backup branch at least before touching anything. Don’t ask why. (If you do, it’s because I erased useful code along with the my commit history) #git #versioncontrol

#MonkeyPatch stands for “feeling like a monkey as I patch”. Just kidding, it’s actually a super cool tool that allows me to set environment variables that are not passed in as parameters for #PyTest. It happens at runtime. I was pleasantly surprised by how easy it was to use.

Today I learned that in France, they use the AZERTY keyboard instead of QWERTY. I have briefly wondered why some people had trouble typing on my keyboard even though I use the (Canadian) French one before. Now I understand. 🇨🇦 🇫🇷 #keyboard #languages #diversity

Thank you Nyström approximation for reviving the linear algebra part of my brain. It’s been a hot minute (years) since I did this kind of math. #MachineLearning #DataScience #Mathematics

The France-no-AC thing finally hit me. Actually it hit me harder yesterday (36 degrees sunny), so hard that I was too traumatized to complain. It’s 32 today and I have gaslit myself into thinking this is not bad at all. 🇫🇷 #france #paris #summer
