Don't let the Tories divide us. Powerful video from Apsana Begum MP. Stop the government's racist Nationality and Borders Bill 👇🏽 mtm.is/stopthebill #RefugeesWelcome #BlackLivesMatter

We have created a situation in this country and across Europe where we leave desperate people with no alternative but to turn to ruthless people in order to try to get to a place of safety. This Nationality and Borders Bill is disgraceful.

Had to double check this was serious. What on earth is this government thinking? Bad enough not to pay people properly to self-isolate - but this? Do they not want to stop the spread of this disease??

I feel uncomfortable with the way this M&Ms redesign is being promoted at the same time as Mars is facing a lawsuit for child slavery. It's distracting from their bad reputation and I think it's unethical for designers and journalists to help them with that. #DesignEthics

Ceasing to monitor Covid is the absolute opposite of learning to live with Covid. It is the equivalent of trying to learn to live with extreme weather, by implementing a policy that does away with weather reports.

Let’s not sugarcoat this: it would apparently deny “freedom” to require contagious non-disabled people to stay home for a few days when they have covid, but it’s okay for people with underlying health conditions to have to lock themselves away for two years and more.

In the past five years, the Metropolitan Police alone have strip searched an average of five children every day. 35 of those searches happened to children under the age of 12. #ChildQ

There have now been 2,405 on-course thoroughbred fatalities in British horse racing in the last 15 years.🐴 That's not to mention the horses who don't even make it to the track, and those who disappear (AKA are shipped off and slaughtered) once 'retired'. You bet, they die.🏇

Good morning from a country where the Government made a Manifesto promise to "keep our existing energy cap and introduce new measures to lower bills" then lifted the energy price cap so bills rose 54% with further huge rises to come.

A year ago I had a bike accident resulting in a concussion. I had an ambulance, a CT scan, an MRI and a 2 night hospital stay. All completely free. I dread to think how much it would have cost me if I lived somewhere like the USA with no NHS.

The problem with Boots is it doesn't have real values anymore. Their own brand products are no longer cruelty free and they deliberately overcharge for emergency contraception. If they were more ethical I would give a shit.

Have you ever heard a government minister say landlords should hold rent below inflation? Or told business owners they should hold down prices and take a hit on profits? Because we’re hearing a lot of them demand that of workers today!
