I'm not an engineer, but I've been testing Imbue's Sculptor, and it's the most fun I've had coding with LLMs in a while 🤓 as a vibe coder by necessity, it helps me figure out bugs so I don't get stuck in my own LLM generated mess... look at me go!

I know I'm late to the party, but Dean W. Ball 's essays are excellent, and have made me much more skeptical about the kinds of AI regulations I was previously somewhat sympathetic to.

Could not be more excited for our 2025 Blog-Building Intensive Fellowship. It was a fabulous program last year, and we've added a few new elements this year to make it that much better!

I did this last year; I highly recommend. It helped me form a writing practice and I met the coolest people. Happy to chat if you have questions!

I had the privilege of participating in this program last year. Highly recommend for anyone writing about progress-related topics. Come for the information-dense instructional sessions, stay for the community of fellow writers.

We're looking for agriculture progress writers/thinkers. Are you writing about: climate adaptation in agriculture, on-farm data & precision ag, lab-grown meat innovation, land sparing vs. sharing debates smart safety regulations? Something else? We want to hear from you!

Every year we do a couple of themed tracks for the Roots of Progress Institute writers fellowship This year one of them is agriculture—a topic crucial to human progress, but not one with enough good progress writing. Please apply if you have an obsession with agricultural progress!

As a fourth generation Californian, I don't relate to this at all. But as someone who moved to NYC at 25 with stars in my eyes and crowed unironically about the "energy" of the city before burning out.... this is very relatable.

This is very funny. I mean that people still do this. This is what my parents did. I had to go to a Catholic University to rebel against the ecstatic dance of it all.

Interested in writing about agriculture and innovation? Apply for this awesome fellowship. Your Truly, along with others, would mentor you! Jason Crawford

Finally an excuse for a thread of some of my favorite technology and agriculture charts! #1 - Productivity growth in agriculture has been huge! Sources: USDA ERS and BEA

I’m excited to be hosting an Interintellect 🧭 Reading Club on A Sand County Almanac next month! Worth reading for its lovely prose alone, Leopold’s core messages are still hotly debated today.🧵

It's once again an embarrassment of riches with this year's Roots of Progress fellows. So many thoughtful, curious, brilliant, kind and passionate people. I can't wait to read all the writing they'll be publishing in the coming months!

I've felt pretty shaken by the stories of ChatGPT psychosis and other chatbots-gone-wrong. If we want to understand the trends, there's more that AI companies can be doing.
