Today I find myself saying the strangest thing, but here goes.

I’m not Taylor Swift! We both love cats and I adore her music. I’m sure that when she writes a book she will use her name and it will be as brilliant as everything she does.

Wrote a whole fantastic chapter last night. Light of day made it clear I had too much confidence in myself at 1am.

For Halloween this year I’m going as the scariest thing I can think of: Book Editor.

I want to stop every person on the sidewalk to tell them to watch for ARGYLLE. Then I hit the sidewalk and remember I hate talking. And people.

Pumpkin bread, pumpkin ravioli and pumpkin martini. I apparently crack easily under pumpkin spice peer pressure.

Friends have been forwarding me “author drama” horror stories. How do people have time to maintain feuds? I’m busy procrastinating on my next chapter.

I wish I could talk about my writing “process” but it was/is really nothing more than: “Research. Research. Research. Write.” (And occasionally drop head onto keyboard.)

Marketing: “Keep up social presence with personal facts.”  Me: “I had oatmeal today and I accidentally double dosed myself on nasal spray.”  #ARGYLLE

I forgot my new password already and we are back to publisher telling me how to log in.  Beginning to think they are going to get next Elly novel OR Elly on social. Not both.

Currently working on next novel in ARGYLLE series. Writing is much easier when editors and production companies aren’t texting to ask where it is. (Elly shoves phone under pile of laundry.)

Amateur detectives may have figured out I like argylle patterns. Don’t tell my protagonist, but I have a thing for plaids too.
