Period poverty is a particular issue in refugee camps during conflict. “When you hear the war sirens in the middle of the night and you grab a bag and grab anything you can get your hands on, who thinks to pack sanitary products?” said period poverty activist Ella Lambert.

“In the way we have toilet rolls in every public bathroom, there should be free sanitary products.” Ella Lambert.
