Volunteering for the Child Law Advice Service the past 10 months has been so rewarding. Services like this are so important and it is great to see the impact of advice in helping so many vulnerable individuals better understand the legal system and gain access to justice.

In many fields of law (& life), we will come across individuals who spent time in care. Learning our lived experiences, such as reading books by #CEP or documentaries (like the Joe Swash one coming up), can only be a strength in empathising and understanding those we work for.

When social mobility rates are this low, we all lose. Social mobility improves the lives of everyone. When individuals rise, they bring with them their lived experiences, ideas & skills. We’re missing out on so much talent. theguardian.com/society/2023/s…
