Today, at 4:00 p.m., Interim Chief of Police J. Phillip Webster will conduct a brief press conference regarding the shootings that took place last night in the S Road St / Shepard St area. It will be held in front of City Hall, located at 306 East Colonial Avenue.

The Elizabeth City Police Athletic League will be opening registration on June 7, 2023, from 1pm-5pm and June 8-9, 2023, from 4pm-8pm for Rampage Football at 600 Westover Street, Elizabeth City NC 27909. FMI: Officer Bray, 252-335-4321 or PAL Coordinator Woods at 252-621-7334.

***MISSING JUVENILE*** Nijal Nelson was last seen on 08/15/23, at approximately 10PM around the 700-block of N Road St. Nijal M. Nelson is approx. 5ft 6in. & 130lbs with short black hair and brown eyes. Last seen wearing a white t-shirt, orange Nike shorts, and gray crocs.
