Tuning in from Bangladesh is director Elizabeth D. Costa. "I saw how fearless they were... They were full of confidence.. I felt it was a story that needed to be told."

Elizabeth D. Costa when asked on the challenges she faced when shooting. "After meeting [the girls] they trusted me as a sister, but then I needed to talk to their parents... It was hard for me to explain. It took time to get the trust and that's something I'm still bonded with."

Rothna Begum asks, how are things now? "The film played an influencing role on the club's continuation. They continued to be motivated. They've actually moved on to become lifeguards, and teachers. They're going to be the first generation of girls to break that cycle." - Lalita

"We don’t hear the voices of the young girls enough. We always show them as objects and usually, someone else speaks for them." More from .Lalita Krishna 's film bit.ly/3RSAzyb #BanglaSurfGirls #InternationalDayOfGirlChild #girlpower #Bangladesh .Bangla Surf Girls .Elizabeth D. Costa
