I read The Lonely, and it was the strangest read of all time.

Just finished this! Rowan takes a nanny job in a dream house with a dream family. She soon finds out that the “dream” house is full of secrets.. almost as many secrets as Rowan herself is keeping.

I read One by One by Ruth Ware. This is reminiscent of Agatha Christie’s And Then There Were None, but with a whole new twist! So good!

I stayed up way too late reading this book the past couple of nights, but it was worth it. Karen M. McManus Updates is brilliant. Years after their grandmother disowned her children (and them), three cousins find themselves back in her presence and trying to make sense of their family’s past.

This one had some weird circumstances but it was fun to see how it came together! Anna’s new nannying job is a fresh start for her, but her striking resemblance to a missing girl along with newly surfacing memories threaten to turn her life upside down.

Finally got to read Trevor Noah’s book. It’s been on my list for awhile and I can’t tell you how many times I’ve booktalked it having only skimmed some of it. I learned so much and I laughed so much. What a life and what a talent.

When California runs out of water, Alyssa, her brother, and some new “friends” must find a way to survive amid the chaos and riots. They have to find water before it’s too late.

Day 1: This was last week, but it totally sums up life as an elementary librarian!

This book captured one of my worst nightmares as an educator — that any of my students could be suffering without help. It was worth reading, for sure.

This book had too many coincidences for me, but it was still good! A twisted story emerges after a murder takes place in a wealthy neighborhood.

Laura McHugh is one of my favorites. This is her newest book! Sarah goes back home to face her estranged family and the mystery of her own kidnapping years ago. By digging through her past, she hopes to find clues to other missing girls like her.

My grandma loaned this book to me, and I finally read it. Such an impactful read, and one rooted in history.

Dreamland Burning is the St. Charles County One Read! Told from two perspectives, the book centers around the Tulsa Race Massacre. Two teens, past and present, work through their roles in making positive change. A recommended children’s pairing is Unspeakable.

Got to watch this dragon perform in Beauty & the Beast Jr. I’ve gotten to see her in a couple shows now and Maggy is always so good!
