Woodburn 4th Grade What an awesome end to 3rd Quarter! Exploring circumference in math, celebrating our researchers in writing, and singing along to the Drama Club performance! Plus birthday cupcakes, hard-earned extra recess, early dismissal AND the Book Bus??? Awesome.

Today we enjoyed a parent coming in to teach us about the Ukrainian art of pysanky. We enjoyed learning about the history, symbolism and techniques, and we were excited to see and hold so many beautiful examples!

Off to a great start in third grade! We finished our second week of school feeling “in love with our books” during reading and sharing out strategies in math. Woodburn Third Grade

Third graders are thinking like scientists as we observe our ladybugs and playing capture to practice making arrays in math. So much fun! 🐞 🐓

Bittersweet celebration yesterday as we released our ladybugs. We enjoyed observing them!

Then we had awesome Writers’ Celebrations!

Our third graders had SO much fun building their FutureMakers drawbots today! Huge thanks to #educatefairfax for the grant that will enable four grade levels of Wildcats to do projects like these this year! 🤩
