If you're looking for a dram that combines ripe tropical fruits with more serious flavours of tar and brine, look no further than this Lagavulin.

Father's Day is coming soon, and we have the perfect gift idea for your Dad... No, it's not this cute dog (although he is adorable and a dog to fetch our favourite bottles is on our wishlist...), but a personalised Elements of Islay PEAT Pure Islay! 📷: The Mash Tun Whisky Shop

Peat Full Proof is the perfect expression of smoky whisky, with all the full-on coastal character you would expect from an Islay whisky, as well as balanced sweetness. On its own or in a cocktail, it is the go-to peaty whisky for all!

Our Peat & Sherry releases marry the classic smoky style of Islay whisky with the richness of sherry cask maturation, to make for a truly cracking dram. Have you ever tried any of them? If so, which ones? Let us know in the comments! 📷: JHallenbring

Elements of Islay gets its name from the smoky, elemental character of Islay whiskies. We’ve used a letter and number naming system on the labels to denote the distillery and batch of each bottling, also alluding to the periodic table of ‘elements’. 📷: @ malttraders on IG

Whisky is an ideal cocktail ingredient – just think of the classic cocktails that use whisky as its base, such as the Manhattan, Sour and Rob Roy. Using peaty whisky in a cocktail adds smoky depth, adding layers of complexity. So get mixing with your EOI whiskies in a cocktail!

Peat smoke is rich with flavour compounds, including phenols such as cresol, guaiacol and eugenol. Much of this finds its way, along with various other characteristics, aromas and flavours, into every bottle of Elements. 📷 : @ whisky__art on IG

Did you know that the vast majority of Islay whisky is tankered away, filled into casks and stored on the mainland? Only a couple of distilleries on Islay actually mature the majority of their spirit on the island. #IslayWhisky #FactOfTheDay

When we launched Elements of Islay in 2006, it was decided early on that no bottles in the range should carry an age or vintage, as we believe that the most important element when choosing a whisky is the flavour.

Elements of Islay Bourbon Cask. Its smoothness is elemental –think coastal pebbles forged by the power of attrition. Matured in 1st & refill bourbon barrels, bottled at 54.5%. Barbecue smoke from a south coast Islay distillery combines with zesty flavours from the north coast.
