This week, we're attending the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Symposium on Food Safety and Control. Toby Boocock will give a presentation at 5 pm tomorrow (28th May), or visit him and Kathrin Rosenthal (EAS) at our booth. #IRMS #FoodSafety #Atoms4Food IAEA - International Atomic Energy Agency ⚛️
We had a great time IAEA - International Atomic Energy Agency ⚛️ participating the International Symposium on Food Safety and Control #Atoms4Food #IRMS Elementar IRMS Thanks for having us.

This week, we’ll be attending the British Organic Geochemistry Society Meeting at The University of Manchester. We'll be presenting our analytical solutions for geochemistry on Wednesday at 13:40. You will also find us at our stall underneath the dinosaur.🦖
On 10th -11th September, Elementar IRMS are hosting a #usermeeting for anyone working with #stableisotopes. The meeting will take place in Manchester, UK, providing a forum for #IRMS users to discuss their work and share their experiences. Find out more: utm.guru/ugU8z
Have you registered for our IRMS User Meeting? It's now less than a month away. We have two confirmed keynotes from Chris Harrod and Rage Against the Miocene 🏞️ as well as some excellent presentations from stable isotope researchers & the Elementar UK team. Sign up here: utm.guru/ugU8z
A big thank-you to Rachel Petts McrMuseum Collection and all Manchester Museum for letting us sample the #pangolin collection for #stableisotope analysis. Also looking forward to the Elementar IRMS user meeting here tomorrow!
Very happy to be in Manchester to represent SCENE and UofG SBOHVM at the Elementar IRMS user group meeting Talking about the power of isotopes to understand what fish and ancient peoples do/did. Thanks to HarrodLab and Francisca Santana S for sharing data/hard work.
Next up is our first keynote, Chris Harrod from UofG SBOHVM. He is discussing how stable isotopes can help to solve the Rumsfeld Matrix in ecology, covering everything from the ‘known knowns’ to the ‘unknown unknowns’.
Our next keynote is from Rage Against the Miocene 🏞️ from University of Bristol Earth Sciences. His talk is on ‘Expanding the GC-IRMS analytical window to higher temperatures and more complex biomolecules’. #IRMS
More excellent talks this afternoon from Fotis Sgouridis: Using the isoFLOW GHG to detect 15N2 field denitrification fluxes Ben Jackson: Plant Soil Systems at the University of Edinburgh Calum Preece: LyticOS Software Suite Workshop Thanks to everyone who has contributed!
Today, Andi Smith from the British Geological Survey kicked off day two of our IRMS User Meeting. He talked us through how they use their (eight!) Elementar IRMS systems and peripherals, highlighting the modifications and novel techniques they use.
