Squali: da predatori pericolosi a specie in pericolo! Per #BluePandaWeek col progetto #LIFEEuropeanSharks e AMP MIRAMARE inaugurata la mostra sugli squali. Dallo squalo angelo alla verdesca, dal gattuccio allo squalo volpe, bisogna conoscerli per poterli proteggere!

Temperatures in the #Mediterranean were again far too high this summer. Along with #overfishing & plastic pollution the #ClimateCrisis is destroying marine #biodiversity. But as WWF Austria' simone niedermueller told Radio FM4, protected zones offer some hope: fm4.orf.at/player/2024091…

As simone niedermueller says, protected zones can be effective, but, worryingly, a new report suugests "low levels of protection in 86% of marine protected areas" and this is putting the #EU #biodiversity goals in jeopardy: theguardian.com/environment/20…
