Don't starve has a good version of this; with the cheaper low durability tools being easy to rebuild, the higher cost ones either having high durability (gold weapons, thoulcite, etc) or some other special benefits (hambat having spoilage time, not durability, etc)

Game devs and first world gamers don't really take into account that games are built towards first world prices and not towards global ones. Like, NO, I cannot afford to buy a $60+ game on launch, that's 10-20% of the average Serbian pay.
