“…this summer when you're being inundated with all this American bicentennial Fourth Of July brouhaha, don't forget what you're celebrating, and that's the fact that a bunch of slave-owning, aristocratic, white males didn't want to pay their taxes.” Dazed and Confused (1993)

a treat to catch antonioni’s RED DESERT for the first time during this monica vitti series at FLC, and with a great crowd! “There’s something terrible about reality and I don’t know what it is. No one will tell me.” 💔

yo CAUGHT STEALING was sick as hell. laughed a lot. shocked a lot. you can’t run forever, right? Really great characters. Austin Butler is incredible, dude. Aronofsky having FUN here very moved by the freneticism, all a result of how we respond to the unfair hands we’re dealt

the jersey boy in me truly loved DELIVER ME FROM NOWHERE! Its Monmouth county specificity, and the way it dealt with male pain, and that intimidating gulf that exists between father and son… let’s just say it was a brilliant cocktail designed to devastate me the whole team 👏

Lots of discourse around this. In my mind: it’s so clear to me that Chase Infiniti is LEAD Absolutely integral to the story once she appears after the prologue. That finale? First encountering Regina Hall in the school bathroom is what locks the nom: she’s such a smart actress!

I have loved Diane Keaton’s monologue in LOVE AND DEATH ever since I heard it for the first time. “I hope you’re getting this down” kills me every time What a beautiful soul. Grateful that Diane Keaton shared her gifts with us and that they’ll live on 🙏
