Ruth led 6 Ramblers along the Tweed to Hay Lodge Park on the warmest day of the year so far. We climbed RaeBurn Road, through woodland to Hamilton Hill and enjoyed breathtaking views. We descended through gorse bushes to the old drove road which took us past Standalane & Rosetta

5 walkers, including a guest & a member of another group, caught the bus from N Berwick to Aberlady. The morning weather was overcast but still pleasant, with the sun trying to break through. At lunchtime the sun appeared & graced the rest of a totally enjoyable walk led by Lorna

Six walkers enjoyed a glorious day at St Abbs Head. The emphasis was on a leisurely walk led by Gordon, whilst watching the nesting birds. The weather was near perfect for the walk. We saw flowering Sea Thrift on the hillsides. After the walk, we headed to a nearby café.

11 walkers enjoyed a leisurely walk along the John Muir Way from East Linton to Dunbar. The wind at their backs was softened by pleasant sunshine. The tides allowed the crossing of the Belhaven Bay bridge. A local café provided the perfect finish to the walk.

8 walkers enjoyed a 9 mile walk led by Gerry with Brigid as back-marker. We enjoyed views of Rhymer's Glen. Lunch in the woods near Faldonside Loch was followed by a descent to Abbotsford and a pleasant walk back along the Tweed.

10 ramblers walked today's Harestanes to Monteith Mausoleum circular. Murray treated us to facts on the Folly, Lilliard, local Scottish English battles & Monteith Mausoleum, to which he got the key. We had to wade through foliage as tall as some of us at 2 points but no rain

12 walkers enjoyed a lovely day at Bamburgh. Starting on the beach below the castle with the tide going out, we followed the coastline before heading inland at Budle Bay. The undergrowth was challenging in parts, but the sun shone, the views were excellent & the company was good

7 walkers braved the heat for the July midweek. Going via Goat's Brae to Black Hill, 5 of us went to the top, 2 sensibly sat in the shade. After lunch we headed back through Redpath, Leaderfoot & Newstead to Melrose where the call of icecream was too strong for some to resist 😋

There were 7 walkers on the walk to Cademuir Hill today. It was lovely in the trees & hot on the open stretch. Fine views over to the hill forts, down to Peebles & the hills beyond. Finished with refreshments and cake in Loulabelle’s in Innerleithen.

5 walkers enjoyed a pleasant 7 mile walk along Whiteadder Water from Abbey St Bathan's to Elemford Bridge, where lunch was enjoyed sitting under the bridge. The return followed the Southern Upland Way back to the start where the walkers all enjoyed coffee and cake in the café
