Today I officiated at the pass-out of 310 students of St. Gracious SS who have gone through a rigorous one week patriotism course.

Today l paid a monitoring visit to the construction site of a satellite laboratory at Lira Regional Referral Hospital to assess the progress. The 3.9bn facility is set for completion by the end of August 2014. I made emphasis on quality and value for money.

This afternoon we laid to rest the 2 little Angels, Suhaila Sowed and Anwar Suwed, the siblings perished in last night nasty accident involving a fuso truck and a coster along Lira Soroti road, the accident also claimed 3 lives on the spot & left dozens with severe injuries.

In another tragic event, Lira City this morning woke up to the sad news of the demise of the Town Clark Mr. Tibihiki Theo (in brown suit) in an accident that occurred along Lira Apac Road. My Condolence to his Family, Lira City Council and the Minister of Local Government.

Today I had a courtesy visit by the India's High Commissioner to Uganda, HE Upender Singh Rawat. Rawat who was on a visit in Lira City thanked Uganda government for the cordial relationship with the government of India. We also discussed agriculture and trade among others.
