New Chief Executive, same archaic and car centric ideals. Worrisome to read that the new executive’s MAIN priority is to push through a ring road that won’t solve the congestion, but instead dramatically increase emissions and destroy valuable natural habitats.

The situation in England echoes a key point I made in my Irish Times piece a couple of weeks ago: this is public money, taxpayers money, being used to provide school meals, it should not be allowed to be used to fund substandard food. Who are the main beneficiaries of this money?

we should be deeply concerned about this and need some solid policy moves on it. Access to land is one of the biggest risks to the future of farming. We associate land grabs with the global south (and that’s a huge issue) but it’s happening here too. Green grabs are a big concern
