i think one point OP is missing is that much of PnC adventure has been subsumed into adventure RPGs and other genres. Shadows Over Loathing has every fundamental PnC mechanic, plus RPG combat. The RPG part sucks, its primarily a PnC game, but it gets billed as an AdvRPG not PnC.
