Proud to play my part as a Middlesbrough Labour Councillor who put the town first last Friday and saved it from commissioners. Those that voted against the budget voted for: higher council taxes and the decimation of essential services.

This is the Middlesbrough I know and love. Our town is united against hatred and no gang of hooligans will divide us.

It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of our friend and colleague, Councillor Jeanette Walker.  Jeanette was a Councillor for 17 years. Throughout that time, she has been dedicated to the residents of Hemlington and fought tirelessly for our town.

The Conservatives abandoned the Redcar steelworks in 2015 costing 3,000 steel jobs, and Lord Houchen calls that a “blueprint” to follow. Labour makes a different choice in 2025. We take action for British steel and British jobs.
