Getting a sawdust fix 1/2. Repowered and rebuilt the local sawmill with a 6-71GM. Originally powered by steam it was put on mains power in the early 60’s before closing in the 90’s. This is the first test run before today’s open day. #screamingjimmy

Sawdust fix 2/2. Cutting slabs today for the local sawmill open day. This old redgum log was as hard as a goats knee. The plus side was it yielded some cracking slabs.

Getting this feeding down to a fine art, heater on, tunes playing and a gate opener means I don’t even have to get out.
