Chronic absenteeism has risen to a concerning level, both in Lenawee County and across the state, in the years following the pandemic. Nearly 1 in 3 Lenawee students were chronically absent during the 2022-2023 school year. To learn more, visit lisd.us/attendance.

February is Career and Technical Education (CTE) Month! CTE programs are offered at high schools, colleges, and some universities throughout Michigan and help prepare you for high-skill, high-wage, and in-demand careers. #CTEMonth

There are 53 types of Career and Technical Educations (CTE) programs in our state, from construction trades to cosmetology and computer science, from aviation to agriculture, from energy to education. #CTEMonth

Among students who concentrated in Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs, for 2022-23, the graduation rate was 95.9%, and 95.4% reported being employed, in continuing education, or both six months later. #CTEMonth
