Belonging and inclusion work is not defined by “All ________ Matter.” When you work on belonging and inclusion, you seek to understand who has historically been pushed to the margins and what barriers there are to their meaningful engagement and you imagine something new. 1/2

This work inherently means disrupting the status quo. This growing pain will not be equally felt. When decisions are informed by belonging + inclusion, we must continue to ask ourselves what we stand to gain for the whole while improving conditions for those on the outside. 2/2
