I partly blame it on politics which clouds our thinking, Kenyans are way too polarized to understand that both modes (SGR and an upgraded road network ) are complementary for regional trade , most people do not see beyond the tarmac and trains.

I have noticed you have always been against deficit spending .How effectively can govt reduce their deficit spending ? having debt ceilings ,debt break laws etc that are not enforceable just doesn't cut it. Perhaps we need more serious judicial oversight on deficit spending .

Atleast someone understands that as much as taxes levied on construction inputs has contributed to a decline in the sector, a major factor is the current fiscal environment which has stiffled demand and hence low uptake of high capital intensive projects

I tried reconciling NSSF’s Tier One revenue with employment numbers, and found a gap. Here’s a VERY quick thread on what I found 🧵 1. Kenya’s 2025 Economic Survey reports 3.2M formal wage employees. At Ksh 10,080 annually (Tier I rate), NSSF should have collected ~Ksh 32.3B.

The missing puzzle in the Mombasa Port Development plan is enhanced local production capacity, supporting infrastructure projects are under way (a rail corridor and improved road network).

Once the rail corridor is fully completed perhaps the ICD at Naivasha can be utilized fully ,but it currently looks like a poor investment given the logistical challenges involved.

5 Pieces of Financial advice that work in other developed markets but not in Kenya: 1. Use other peoples' money AKA debt to build wealth (more so in Real Estate) "Use a mortgage to develop a property, use rental income to repay the mortgage." This doesn't work in Kenya

Hell and Back Dr. Ho Yinsen Jua Kali sector can grow if allowed and incentivized to grow. Allow people to import machinery for production tax free. No-one buys these machines to use for entertainment, no-one buys an excavator for personal transport. Make entry levels so low that people can setup at home

The problem could stem from inaccurate inputs on the design parameters which I would attribute to inadequate understanding of first principles and limited grasp of basic Code requirements and allowable limits . ukishazoea codes na basic inputs kunavigate huwa easy

You are raising a very important often overlooked issue in Education, even as we roll out CBC their has to be an end to the equation which is gainful employment or enterprise and this involves broader policy decisions that sync into the new system,Nothing happens in isolation
