The UK has dug up many of its orchards and now imports 70% of its apples, often from across the world. Planting apple trees in our gardens and communities - and protecting those we have - can cut food miles, soak up CO2, help wildlife, and can help save traditional varieties🍎

For anyone who has some plastic frogs and bottle tops and can't think of what to do with them, the answer lies right here in this Moss Side alley. Decorate a water butt of course. Well done to our alley greening neighbour and her grandchild who came up with this beauty!😀
