Mining for Gold Following the general team handover the consultant asked “What has gone well, what could be better and what would we do differently?” Gave the team time to reflect about the last 12 hours, producing some really useful and pertinent clinical/operational information

The Read Back At the end of a patient review the team gave their full attention to the patient plan read back, no added extras, plain and simple. There is a lot of information exchanged in ICU and this gives the team extra focus on the critical points. Simple and effective.

Feng Shui The ward round positioned itself with key aims, everyone can be seen and heard, no backs to colleagues and the patient remained visually central. We were able to connect the data to the patient improving situational awareness #endofthebedtest
