It’s a warm morning in the Metro — 20° at 5:30 AM is not a common occurrence! It’s also humid… the humidex at this hour is 27! #NLwx

Good Monday morning, #nlwx! It is a very warm and very humid start to the day for much of the Island. Temperatures in the east are already flirting with 20º. It's a bit cooler west and into Lab. Areas of rain showers, some heavy, are also around this AM!

Some FROST is possible overnight in interior and central Newfoundland, furthering the fact that YYT has a chance at 20 tomorrow, which would be a new record! Details in my latest forecast #nlwx sheerrweather.ca/forecasts/fros…

Temperatures tonight will be quite a bit cooler on the Island compared to the last few. Remember that parts of interior, central, and western Newfoundland *may* see frost... particularly in low-lying, sheltered areas. SEP 9, 2025 | 8 PM #nlwx

Showers move into Labrador West tomorrow (Sep 10, 2025) while the Island will bask in nearly a cloudless sky. That will not last, though, as rain is on the way for Thursday... but enjoy tomorrow first! #nlwx Post Date: Sep 9, 2025 | 8:46 PM

It's frosty for parts of central and western Newfoundland this morning! The weather today looks great on the Island, while Labrador will see some showers, especially in the north and west. #nlwx sheerrweather.ca/forecasts/wedn…

The high thus far today at YYT is 18.4°... If we can get another 1.6° today, we will break the all-time record for days with a high of at least 20° at YYT in a given year. The current record stands at 79, set in 2012, 2022, and 2025. #nlwx

There is a little bit of wildfire smoke (aloft) over Newfoundland today. It's what is giving the sky a very milky colour. #nlwx

A cooler and more damp weather pattern takes hold as we close out the work week. On top of that, we are at peak hurricane season, and there is virtually no tropical activity in the Atlantic Basin! #nlwx sheerrweather.ca/forecasts/cool…

Rain moves through Labrador today and arrives on the Island later this morning. The rain in the Big Land ends tonight, while on the Island it continues into Friday. #nlwx sheerrweather.ca/forecasts/thur…
